This classic safari itinerary offers the opportunity to witness huge herds of wildebeest, zebra and their accompanying predators.

Start in Nairobi at Giraffe Manor where animal encounters don't come much closer - the resident herd of endangered Rothschild giraffe are free to roam the ground, and are often found poking their long necks into the house to take treats directly from your hands. From here, you will fly to Amboseli National Park, where you can expect to witness the high concentrations of elephant, under the backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro.

On to Lewa Downs, you'll have the opportunity to visit one of the schools supported by The Lewa Education Programme, which currently assists 12 schools in the local area. Finish your safari adventure in the Masai Mara, where the herds make their way through from July through to October each year, following the rains and fresh vegetation. Dramatic river crossings are a highlight of this spectacle, with hundreds of thousands of wildebeest thundering through the treacherous waters. Beyond the migrating herds, lion, leopard, antelope, cheetah and hippo make for an unparalleled wildlife experience. For the ultimate safari experience, take a hot air balloon ride over the Mara Plains.
